Hello loves, it’s been a while. I was doing a really good job of posting twice a week on here for the past two months, but I finally wore myself out. I needed a bit of a break because I was feeling super slumpy about the blog. I had no motivation or inspiration, so I needed to step back for a little while before I started posting again.
I recently moved into a new house and while it’s been an overall good experience, it’s also extremely exhausting. On top of that, this week is the reading rush, so I’m trying to get a lot of reading done, which leaves no time for anything else.
I am hoping to get back into the rhythm of things, but I will be going back to posting one day a week, rather than two.
That’s all as far as my update goes, so let’s talk about what I’m currently reading!
It is day two of the reading rush when this post goes up, but it is day one as I am writing it.
So far, I have started the audiobook of Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout and I’m about 20% in. I am hoping to get over 50% by the end of the night. I am also reading The Year of Living Awkwardly by Emma Chastain, and I am only about 100 pages in, but I am hoping to finish this one tomorrow. I am not stressed about not finishing a book today because my hope is that I will finish both of these tomorrow, which will put me on track.
Aside from reading rush books, I’m also in the middle of The Secret History by Donna Tartt. It is on hold this week but I will pick it right back up as soon as this read-a-thon is over. I am hoping to finish it soon, but it’s been taking me so long already, who knows how much longer it’ll take.
Finally, I am reading You Asked For Perfect by Laura Silverman, which is also currently on hold. I may try to finish it this week in place of another book to complete a challenge, but I’m not sure if that will happen yet.
My reading this month has been going really great- I read mainly 4 and 5 star books, so hopefully, that trend will continue!
Thanks for reading! Let me know what books you are currently reading, and if you’re participating in the reading rush. See you soon!
